NET Framework does not support all versions of every platform.

For a list of the supported versions, see System Requirements.

This allows you to provide an event handler that performs a custom routine, such as checking the results of the update operation, whenever this event occurs.

A Details View Updated Event Args object is passed to the event handler, which allows you to determine the number of rows affected and any exceptions that might have occurred.

You can also indicate whether the exception was handled in the event handler by setting the Exception Handled property.

I have some code that is identical in Item Updating and Item Inserting The only differnce is one use Values(). There's really no built in way to grab the previous values in updated.

Old Values(1), To String() and I kept getting an error would it be better to use e. The table has been set to not accept nulls and the Grid View & Details View have been set to Convert Emty String To Null=False It was the To String() that procuded the error. In Item Updated using the New Values index values on all columns e.

Old Values("salespn") & "" No Error however I do not get the old values I changed the Rep when I did and Update in the Details View and I go this: Rep: Amy Old Rep: Amy was the changed Rep but nothing for the Old Rep Old Values is not working at all Strange!!!!!

public string get Field(IOrdered Dictionary values, string key) then it's a simple case of string str Message Body = get Field("field1") get Field("field2")...

However it seems that if the value coming from the Details View is null for Field1 then e. Is there an easy way round this, i am putting the values of about 10 fields into one string variable, i want to avoid 10 if (e. = null) If you just want to avoid duplicated code, why not move it into another method?
